Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They can be used to add an additional benefit or impact while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors or players looted, or gotten as rewards, or made with crafting materials. Alongside providing attribute bonuses upgrades can also have cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are not generally accessible for general use, and can only be applied to Ascended equipment or other weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enrichments can be retrieved from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device, or saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Like other upgrade products Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded while attached to the item that they are upgrading. They can be reused after being salvaged. These upgrades are the best method to increase the quality of your the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium because they can increase the item's chance of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.
Upgrade components can be added to an item, however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and Ascended equipment). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or higher can include upgrade components them. When you upgrade an item that is already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it would appear in the game (for example adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to 3 upgrade items at any one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are an excellent addition to any item, as they can provide many unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, increasing its overall strength. These glyphs can be obtained through the dungeons and some even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a root-dungeon of the same level of depth.
To make use of a Glyph it is necessary to build it from components and connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align with other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph using components, you can create it by combining paths and anchors. Drag an element near an element highlighted to lock it into its place.
Some glyphs require certain conditions to be fulfilled, such as 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some require a specific number of Primary Stat nodes to activate, which can be difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs can be used on many different weapons and items, with the exception for those belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs have conditional requirements for instance, having a certain amount of dexterity or attack damage in a specific area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph increases the chance of preventing enemy attacks by 5percent. It also has the chance of 15% to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs may also be applied to limited use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs count towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most popular glyphs used in the game are the attack glyphs that increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed amount. They are particularly useful for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used for rerolling the result of an Action. They are removed after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens are accessible in many ways, including dungeons and raids, or through participation in skirmishes. You can also buy them in the store, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials, since they allow players to reroll rewards from the end of the chest.
For items that are at level 1 there are recycling points. When recycle an item, it will add a certain amount of points to the gauge for upgrading. This number will increase based on the item's level and rarity. The upgraded item will not be able to keep its level when rerolled and the cost of recycling an upgraded item increases as its level increases.
Alternatively, item upgrading can use reroll tokens in order to reroll an upgrade item however, this won't bring the item back to its original state or give it its original statistics. This is useful for those who wish to reroll an item they aren't happy with and would like to keep it in their collection.

There are three different types of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll random and upgrade. Each type comes with several subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each level requires an item from the level in order to create an item of that level.
To use tokens that reroll you must select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking on the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select a type of token. The available tokens are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The use of an Item token will create an entirely new Item of any quality. Utilizing a Weapon or Misc token will create a new weapon of the same faction.
The item may be upgraded to a different item that has the same stats but is at a higher level. This will occur if the item has been placed in the Pool that is not droppable or was transferred to it as part of an franchise card.
