The upgrade item is an item of evolution that allows trainers to evolve certain Pokemon into stronger forms. Silph Co. produces it.
This special item is extremely rare, but players can obtain it by spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops and Gyms.
It is equipped with upgrades that limit how high an item can be upgraded.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools to give you an attribute bonus or an additional effect when the equipment is in use. They can be acquired through crafting, bought from vendors, or purchased on the trading post, looted, or obtained as a reward. Certain upgrades also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be divided into two categories: universal and type-restricted. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones, can go in any equipment. Type-restricted enhancements, like inscribed items, must be put on specific kinds of equipment to gain their benefits.
Certain upgrade components can only be recovered with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool. Glyphs
