Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is important to upgrade your items in order to maximize your gearing potential. It lets you add extra bonus stats over the value of your base item.

Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update the upgrade system for weapons and armor in Cyberpunk has been improved.
