World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
For upgrade item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of an armored weapon or. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon the reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a substantial possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.
It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your equipment. Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. item upgrades is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This can be a downside since the item may become more expensive even if you do not require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it could waste lots of resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrader for items allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its original state which means that the player has to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the expenses mentioned above.
